Research
I have a deep fascination with the intricate dynamics of spatial ecology. Through exploring the captivating interplay between organisms and their environments, I am driven to unravel the mechanisms that shape the spatial patterns of populations. My research lies at the intersection of ecology, quantitative modeling, and global change biology, with a strong emphasis on how species interactions and environmental variability influence biodiversity and ecosystem function.
My work spans multiple disciplines including macroecology, conservation biology, community ecology, and climate change science. I apply advanced statistical approaches to analyze large ecological datasets. A significant component of my research involves species distribution modeling and geospatial analysis, drawing on satellite imagery and remote sensing (including UAVs) to study vegetation dynamics, monitor land cover changes, and assess environmental drivers of species distributions.
I also integrate taxonomic, genetic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity metrics to investigate how ecological communities respond to climate change and anthropogenic pressures, contributing to a deeper understanding of ecosystem resilience and informing conservation strategies.
