Research

As a first year PhD student, my research interests lie at the intersection of ecology and disease transmission, with a focus on vector borne diseases through a One Health approach. I aim to blend lab work and data analysis, with my current work using Aedes aegypti populations in the lab to understand how dengue transmission changes with temperature and insecticide exposure. I will be combining experimental data with thermal performance curve (TPC) data to gain a broader understanding of how environmental factors affect TPC shifts across taxa. I am passionate about teaching and science communication, so my goal is to be able to share what I am learning with people curious about ecology!
