Research
My work intersects macroecology, evolution, and conservation biology, with a particular emphasis on the drivers of species diversity and distribution at broad scales, as well as species responses to global change. I have worked with a variety of free-living and parasite organisms that include helminths, arthropods, amphibians, and birds. But instead of concentrating on a particular biological system or group, I look for work that addresses pertinent gaps and hypotheses. I am currently gathering data on the climatic niches of ectotherms to answer a variety of questions about the causes and consequences of species niche differences, as well as how these organisms will respond to climate change.
